(初時教, 初时教)

A term of the [lang id =1028]法相宗 Dharmalakṣana school, the first of the three periods of the Buddha's teaching, in which he overcame the ideas of heterodox teachers that the ego is real, and preached the four noble truths and the five (sa) skandhas, etc.
